English Definition
The total equity and debt a company or sponsor can allocate or mobilise toward new investment given its balance sheet, liquidity and market access. For multi-asset portfolio developers this capacity is a binding constraint, because the sponsor-equity demand of several projects reaching financial close at once can exceed it, forcing a project-by-project sequencing. Lenders therefore assess not a single project's needs but the sponsor's capital commitments spread across the whole pipeline, since a stretched sponsor is a completion risk in disguise.

Bir kuruluşun ya da sponsorun, mevcut bilançosu, likiditesi ve piyasa erişimi çerçevesinde yeni yatırımlara tahsis edebileceği veya mobilize edebileceği özkaynak ve borç toplamını ifade eder. Çok-varlıklı portföy geliştiricilerinde bu kapasite kritik bir kısıttır; zira aynı anda finansal kapanışa gelen birden çok projenin sponsor özkaynağı talebi, geliştiricinin sermaye kapasitesini aşarak proje-proje sıralanma (sequencing) zorunluluğu doğurabilir. Kredi verenler bu nedenle sponsorun tek bir projeye değil, tüm boru hattına dağılmış sermaye taahhütlerini değerlendirir; zira gerilmiş bir sponsor, gizlenmiş bir tamamlama riskidir.
