The nominal interest rate stated on the face of a bond or other debt instrument, also known as the coupon rate. It represents the annual interest payment as a percentage of the instrument's par value. The face interest rate remains fixed throughout the life of a fixed-rate security and may differ from the effective or market yield.

Bir tahvil veya borclanma aracinin uzerinde yazili olan, kupon orani olarak da bilinen nominal faiz oranidir. Aracin nominal degerinin yuzde kaci olarak yillik faiz odemesi yapilacagini gosterir. Sabit faizli menkul kiymetlerde bu oran vade boyunca degismez ve piyasa getirisinden farkli olabilir.
