English Definition
The branch of economics that studies the economy in aggregate — national income, total employment, the general price level, the money supply and the external balance — rather than individual markets. In project-finance practice it is not a direct tool but the source of a financing model's framing assumptions: the real component of the discount rate, inflation indexation and the currency path all draw on projections produced by this discipline. What credit committees call a scenario is usually a simultaneous stress of these macro variables.

Ekonominin bireysel piyasalar yerine bütünsel büyüklüklerini — milli gelir, toplam istihdam, genel fiyat düzeyi, para arzı ve dış denge — inceleyen iktisat dalıdır. Proje finansmanı uygulamasında doğrudan bir araç değil, finansman modelinin çerçeve varsayımlarının kaynağıdır: iskonto oranının reel bileşeni, enflasyon endekslemesi ve kur patikası bu disiplinin ürettiği projeksiyonlardan beslenir. Kredi komitelerinin senaryo dediği şey, çoğu zaman bu makro değişkenlerin eşanlı bir stres kombinasyonundan ibarettir.
