The amount of money received from a sale, issuance, or transaction after deducting all associated costs, fees, commissions, and expenses. In securities issuance, net proceeds represent the funds available to the issuer after underwriting discounts and offering expenses. In asset disposals, net proceeds determine the gain or loss recognised in the financial statements after subtracting the asset's carrying value.
