regulatory regime

English Definition
A coherent, defined system of regulation formed by the rules, supervisory mechanisms, and enforcement tools governing a particular field of activity, such as a bank capital-adequacy regime or an emissions-trading regime. In project finance the choice of, or a shift in, regime can constitute the very basis of the revenue model; moving from a feed-in tariff to an auction-based support regime places the same technology into an entirely different risk-return profile. Lenders therefore assess not only the prevailing regime but how reversible the legal commitment underpinning it actually is.

Belirli bir faaliyet alanını yöneten kuralların, denetim mekanizmalarının ve yaptırım araçlarının oluşturduğu tutarlı ve tanımlı düzenleme sistemidir; örneğin bir bankacılık sermaye yeterliliği rejimi ya da bir emisyon ticareti rejimi. Proje finansmanında rejim seçimi ya da rejim değişikliği, gelir modelinin temelini oluşturabilir; feed-in tarifesinden ihaleye dayalı bir destek rejimine geçiş, aynı teknolojiyi bambaşka bir risk-getiri profiline sokar.
