Proje sahibine, istekli seçilirse teklif fiyatından sözleşme yapacağını garanti eden ihale veya teklifle birlikte sunulan garanti. Kazanan istekli sözleşmeyi imzalayamazsa, teminat mektubu sahibine kazanan teklif ile bir sonraki en düşük teklif arasındaki farkı veya yeniden ihale maliyetlerini tazmin eder. Teklif teminat mektupları inşaat ve kamu alımı süreçlerinde standarttır.

A guarantee submitted with a tender or bid that assures the project owner the bidder will enter into a contract at the bid price if selected. If the winning bidder fails to execute the contract, the bond compensates the owner for the difference between the winning bid and the next lowest bid or rebidding costs. Bid bonds are standard in construction and public procurement processes.
