Ücretlerin kime yükleneceği doğrudan seçilen Incoterm ile belirlenir; FOB ile CIF arasındaki fark, taşıma ve sigorta riskinin hangi noktada alıcıya geçtiğini ve dolayısıyla akreditif altında hangi belgelerin ibraz edileceğini değiştirir. Sermaye projelerinde ağır ekipmanın taşınması, proje bütçesinde çoğu zaman hafife alınan bir kalem olup gecikmesi doğrudan ticari işletmeye alma tarihini riske atar.
English Definition
The conversion of freight, insurance, handling and terminal costs arising in moving goods from origin to destination into a total charge, according to the applicable delivery terms and tariff. Who bears these charges is dictated by the chosen Incoterm; the difference between FOB and CIF shifts where transport and insurance risk passes to the buyer and therefore which documents are presented under a letter of credit. In capital projects, moving heavy equipment such as transformers or turbines is a line item routinely underestimated, and its slippage directly imperils the commercial operation date.
