Bir borçlunun mevcut nakit akışı, teminat tabanı ve sözleşmesel kısıtlar çerçevesinde sürdürülebilir biçimde üstlenebileceği azami borç düzeyidir. Proje finansmanında bu kapasite tipik olarak varlığın defter değeriyle değil, projekte edilen borç servis karşılama oranıyla (DSCR) sınırlanır; kredi verenler borcu, teminatın tasfiye değerinden ziyade sözleşmeye bağlı gelir akışının kaldırabileceği servise göre boyutlandırır. Mevcut covenant paketindeki ek borçlanma kısıtları ve negatif rehin hükümleri de kapasiteyi hukuken daraltan, bilançoda görünmeyen unsurlardır.
English Definition
The maximum debt a borrower can sustainably assume given its cash flow, collateral base and contractual constraints. In project finance this capacity is set not by the book value of the asset but by the projected debt service coverage ratio; lenders size debt to what the contracted revenue stream can service rather than to the liquidation value of security. Incurrence covenants and negative-pledge clauses in the existing facility further constrain that capacity legally, a limit that never appears on the balance sheet.
