Proje finansmanının çekirdeğinde CAPEX'in doğru tahmini durur; sabit fiyatlı bir EPC kontratı inşa CAPEX'ini yükleniciye kaydırarak maliyet aşım riskini proje şirketinden uzaklaştırırken, işletme dönemindeki yenileme CAPEX'i (maintenance/replacement capex) çoğu zaman rezerv hesaplarıyla ayrıca fonlanmalıdır. English Definition
Expenditure incurred to acquire, construct or improve an asset in a way that extends its life, capitalised and depreciated rather than expensed. Accurate estimation of capex sits at the heart of project finance; a fixed-price EPC contract shifts construction capex to the contractor and thereby moves cost-overrun risk away from the project company, yet the replacement capex of the operating phase typically must be funded separately through reserve accounts. The choice of classifying an item as capex or opex is decisive for both tax and covenant measurement.
