Bir teşebbüsün ya da kişinin toplam varlıklarından tüm yükümlülüklerinin düşülmesiyle kalan net özsermaye değeridir; muhasebede defter değeriyle, piyasa değerlemesinde ise varlıkların cari değeriyle hesaplandığında farklı sonuçlar verir ve bu fark çoğu zaman gizli değer ya da gizli zarar taşır. Proje finansmanında sponsorun öz serveti, üstlenebileceği özkaynak taahhüdünün ve tamamlama garantisinin (completion guarantee) gerçek ağırlığını belirler; bir garantinin değeri, garantörün net servetinden bağımsız düşünülemez. English Definition
The net equity value remaining when an entity's or individual's total liabilities are deducted from its total assets; measured at book value in accounting and at current asset values in a market appraisal, it yields different figures, and the gap often conceals hidden value or hidden loss. In project finance a sponsor's net worth determines the true weight of the equity commitment and completion guarantee it can bear, since the value of a guarantee cannot be considered apart from the guarantor's net worth. Lenders therefore test the sponsor's balance-sheet strength separately against the commitment a single project demands.
