Proje finansmanında bu kalem, özellikle uzun tedarik zincirlerine ve ithal ekipmana bağlı projelerde, açıklanan ekipman fiyatı ile sahaya teslim edilmiş gerçek maliyet arasındaki farkı oluşturan başlıca unsurdur; gümrük, sigorta ve iç taşımayla birlikte, gelen kargo maliyeti bütçelenmediğinde yatırım tutarının sistematik olarak eksik hesaplanmasına yol açar.
English Definition
The transport and freight cost incurred to bring goods a business has purchased to its own premises; in accounting it is added to the cost of goods and becomes part of inventory value, and it is also called carriage inwards. In project financing this item is, especially in projects reliant on long supply chains and imported equipment, the principal element of the gap between a quoted equipment price and the true delivered (landed) cost; together with customs, insurance, and inland transport, an unbudgeted inward-cargo cost leads to a systematic underestimation of the investment amount.
