Satıcının, malı belirlenen varış yerine taşıyacak navlunu ve taşıma sigortasını ödediği; ancak hasar riskinin, malın ilk taşıyıcıya teslim edilmesiyle alıcıya geçtiği, her tür taşıma moduna uygun teslim şeklidir. CIP'in CIF'ten kritik farkı, 2020 revizyonuyla satıcının artık yüksek düzeyli sigorta (geniş kapsamlı Institute Cargo Clauses A) temin etmekle yükümlü kılınmasıdır; bu, yüksek değerli proje ekipmanı için CIP'i CIF'e kıyasla daha güvenli bir tercih hâline getirir. English Definition
A delivery term suitable for any mode of transport under which the seller pays the carriage and transit insurance to the named place of destination, while the risk of damage passes to the buyer once the goods are handed to the first carrier. The critical difference from CIF is that, following the 2020 revision, the seller must now procure high-level cover (the broad Institute Cargo Clauses A), which makes CIP a safer choice than CIF for high-value project equipment. Even so, the gap between the risk point and the point to which carriage is paid complicates proving at which leg of a multimodal chain the damage actually occurred.
