Alıcının siparişi verirken bedeli tamamen peşin ödediği ticari koşuldur; satıcıyı üretim ya da tedarik öncesinde her türlü kredi riskinden arındırır. Bu koşul, satıcının pazarlık gücünün yüksek, alıcının kredibilitesinin düşük ya da ürünün ısmarlama olduğu durumlarda dayatılır. Proje tedarikinde özel imalat gerektiren uzun teslim süreli ekipmanlarda (long-lead items) satıcılar çoğu zaman kısmi CWO ister; bu peşin ödeme, sponsorun finansal kapanıştan önce riske attığı sermayeyi artırır ve avans ödeme garantisiyle dengelenmediğinde tedarikçi iflas riskini doğrudan projeye yükler.
English Definition
A trade term under which the buyer pays the full price when placing the order, freeing the seller of all credit risk before production or procurement. It is imposed where the seller's bargaining power is high, the buyer's credit is weak, or the product is bespoke. In project procurement, sellers of long-lead, custom-built equipment often demand partial CWO; this prepayment enlarges the capital a sponsor risks before financial close and, unless offset by an advance-payment guarantee, loads supplier-insolvency risk directly onto the project.
