Bir hisse senedinin, üzerinde ilan edilmiş ancak henüz ödenmemiş temettü hakkıyla birlikte işlem gördüğünü belirten koşuldur; bu koşulda satın alan taraf, yaklaşan temettüye hak kazanır. Temettüsüz (ex-dividend) tarihine geçişte hisse fiyatının teorik olarak ilan edilen temettü kadar düşmesi, işlem zamanlamasının ekonomik sonucu doğrudan değiştirdiğini gösterir. Proje şirketlerinin ortaklık yapısındaki hisse devirlerinde, devrin cum ya da ex temettü gerçekleşmesi, birikmiş dağıtılabilir nakdin hangi tarafta kalacağını belirleyen bir pazarlık kalemidir.
English Definition
A condition indicating that a share trades with the right to a declared but as-yet-unpaid dividend, so that a buyer purchasing on this basis is entitled to the forthcoming dividend. The share price's theoretical fall by the amount of the declared dividend on passing to the ex-dividend date shows that the timing of a trade directly alters the economic outcome. In transfers of shares within a project company's ownership, whether the transfer occurs cum or ex dividend is a negotiating item that determines which side retains the accumulated distributable cash.
