Proje finansmanında teminat veren çoğu zaman proje şirketinin kendisidir, ancak hisselerini rehin veren sponsor ya da proje hesaplarını teminat gösteren bir bağlı şirket de bu sıfatı taşıyabilir; teminat verenin ödeme gücünden bağımsız olarak, verdiği teminatın icra edilebilirliği o varlığın gerçek değerine ve mülkiyet zincirinin temizliğine bağlıdır. English Definition
The party that creates a security interest over its own asset in favor of a creditor as collateral for a debt or obligation. In project financing the chargor is often the project company itself, though a sponsor pledging its shares or an affiliate charging project accounts may also take that role; independent of the chargor's solvency, the enforceability of the security it grants depends on the true value of the asset and the cleanliness of the title chain. Covenants restricting the chargor's power to deal with the asset are the principal means of preserving the security's value.
