Görünürde teknik bir kısaltma olsa da, masrafların hangi tarafça karşılanacağı ticari işlemin gizli bir pazarlık alanıdır; akreditif işlemlerinde ihraççı ve teyit bankası masraflarının kime yükleneceği ("charges for account of applicant/beneficiary") çoğu zaman kâr marjını sessizce aşındırır. English Definition
An abbreviation for "charges" in trade documents and correspondence, covering fees accruing for transport, handling, banking, and similar services. Though a technical shorthand on its face, the allocation of charges between the parties is a quiet field of negotiation: in documentary-credit practice, whether issuing- and confirming-bank charges fall "for account of the applicant" or "of the beneficiary" often erodes the margin silently. In project procurement the choice of Incoterm dictates whether the seller or the buyer bears terminal-handling and customs charges, and that allocation feeds straight into the landed cost.
