English Definition
A financing line established to allow several lenders to participate in a project on common terms, operating under a defined ceiling and shared documentation. The real subtlety of the facility lies in the intercreditor agreement governing drawdown sequencing and the ranking of the lenders over the security; where a DFI and commercial lenders share the same collateral, the questions of who is repaid first on default, how a voting majority is computed, and whether any one party may enforce unilaterally are all resolved in that document, and these provisions frequently matter more than the interest margin.
