Proje finansmanı açısından bir ihracat kredi kuruluşunun (ECA) garantisi, ticari bankaların tek başına üstlenmeyeceği ülke ve karşı taraf riskini kapsayarak vadeyi uzatır ve maliyeti düşürür. Ancak bu koruma koşulludur; ECA desteği tipik olarak finanse edilen ekipmanın belirli bir oranının garantör ülkede üretilmiş olmasını (yerli içerik) şart koşar ve OECD ihracat kredisi mutabakatının vade ile geri ödeme profili sınırlarına tabidir.
English Definition
An institution that originated as France's foreign-trade credit insurer and long provided export-credit guarantees on behalf of the French state; today it operates in commercial credit insurance, while the state-backed export-guarantee function has been separated out. For project financing, the guarantee of an export credit agency covers country and counterparty risk that commercial banks would not take alone, extending tenor and lowering cost. That protection is conditional, however: ECA support typically requires that a given share of the financed equipment be manufactured in the guarantor country (local content) and is bound by the tenor and repayment-profile limits of the OECD export-credit consensus.
