Toplu ödeme ile taksitli ödeme arasındaki seçim özünde bir iskonto ve risk transferi hesabıdır; toplu tutar, gelecekteki ödemelerin bugünkü değerine indirgenmiş halidir ve ödeyen tarafın kredi riskini alıcıdan uzaklaştırır. English Definition
The payment of a compensation or entitlement obligation in a single aggregate sum rather than in periodic installments over time; for the recipient it means early and certain liquidity, and for the payer the settling today of future uncertainty. The choice between lump sum and installment is at bottom a discounting and risk-transfer calculation; the lump amount is the present value of the future payments and moves the payer's credit risk away from the recipient. In a project context, paying early-termination or expropriation compensation as a lump sum is preferred for letting the lender retire the debt in one move, whereas an installment structure requires carrying the paying public or counterparty's continuing credit risk over the life of the debt.
