Sözleşme ya da düzenlemenin öngördüğü bir tutarın — faiz, vergi, ceza, oran — tanımlı yöntem ve girdilerle sayısal olarak belirlenmesi işlemidir; sonucun kendisi kadar, hangi esas ve zaman diliminin kullanıldığı da bağlayıcıdır. Proje finansmanında hesaplama yöntemindeki belirsizlik, sonucun kendisinden daha maliyetlidir; faizin gün sayım esası, DSCR'ın hangi kalemleri içerdiği ya da gecikme cezasının hangi tabana uygulanacağı net yazılmadığında, kapanış sonrası her dönem yeniden müzakere edilir. Bu nedenle kredi anlaşmalarına çoğu kez örnek hesaplama (worked example) eki konur ve bir hesap ajanı (calculation agent) yetkilendirilir.
English Definition
The operation of determining a contractual or regulatory amount — interest, tax, penalty, ratio — numerically, through a defined method and inputs, where the basis and time frame used are as binding as the result itself. In project finance ambiguity in the method of computation is more costly than the figure it yields: when the day-count basis of interest, the items included in DSCR, or the base to which delay damages apply are not spelt out, every period is renegotiated after closing. Loan agreements therefore commonly annex a worked example and appoint a calculation agent whose determination binds absent manifest error.
