English Definition
An abbreviated form of the full set of financial statements, reduced to minimum headings and subtotals and typically prepared for interim periods, with the applicable accounting standard prescribing the minimum content. Because they are usually subject to review rather than full audit, they carry a lower level of assurance. In project finance these statements often serve as the basis for interim covenant testing referenced in compliance certificates; which line items the condensed format must disclose therefore bears directly on whether DSCR or leverage ratios can actually be computed.
