English Definition
The coordination of action among multiple parties — sponsors, lenders, contractors and public authorities — toward a shared objective, framed less by informal goodwill than by contractual obligation. In project finance, cooperation is not a rhetorical virtue but an architecture institutionalized through instruments such as the common terms agreement and inter-creditor arrangements. The genuine friction rarely lies in the parties' good faith; it surfaces in the sequencing of who may act first when security is enforced, which is precisely what these documents pre-negotiate.
