Bir finansal kuruluşun ya da işletmenin, kullandığı kaynakları temin etmenin ağırlıklı ortalama maliyetidir; mevduat, tahvil, kredi ve özkaynak maliyetlerinin fonlama karmasındaki payla ağırlıklandırılmış halidir. Bir bankanın kredi fiyatlaması bu tabanın üzerine bir marj eklenerek kurulur, dolayısıyla fon maliyetindeki hareket doğrudan proje kredilerinin fiyatına geçer. English Definition
The weighted average cost to a financial institution of obtaining the resources it uses — the cost of deposits, bonds, loans, and equity weighted by their share in the funding mix. A bank's loan pricing is built by adding a margin on top of this base, so a move in the cost of funds passes directly into the price of project loans. In project finance the apparent attractiveness of a fixed-rate loan can conceal a maturity mismatch between the lender's cost of funds and the locked rate; that mismatch surfaces as repricing pressure when the interest-rate environment turns.
