Bir hesabın alacak tarafının borç tarafını aştığı durumu, yani hesap sahibi lehine kalan pozitif tutarı ifade eden muhasebe terimidir. Mevduat hesaplarında müşterinin bankadan alacağını, kredi hesaplarında ise fazladan yapılan ödemeyi gösterir. Proje finansmanında terim özellikle rezerv ve escrow hesapları bağlamında önem kazanır; örneğin borç servis rezerv hesabındaki alacak bakiyesinin sözleşmeyle belirlenen asgari seviyenin altına düşmesi, çoğu kez temettü dağıtımını kilitleyen bir tetikleyici olarak kurgulanır.
English Definition
An accounting term for the state in which the credit side of an account exceeds the debit side — the positive amount standing in favor of the account holder. In deposit accounts it reflects what the customer is owed by the bank, and in loan accounts an overpayment. In project finance the term gains particular weight in reserve and escrow accounts; a credit balance in the debt-service reserve account falling below the contractually stipulated minimum is frequently structured as a trigger that locks distributions to equity.
