Bir borçlunun geçmiş kredi kullanımını, ödeme düzenini ve temerrüt kayıtlarını gösteren, kredi kararında geleceğe dair en güçlü göstergelerden biri sayılan sicildir. Bireysel ve kurumsal kredide geçmiş davranış geleceğin en iyi habercisi kabul edildiğinden ağırlıklı biçimde kullanılır. Proje finansmanında ise borçlu tipik olarak yeni kurulmuş bir SPV olduğundan kendi kredi geçmişi yoktur; kredi verenler bu boşluğu sponsorun ve EPC yüklenicisinin geçmiş proje performansına bakarak doldurur, dolayısıyla değerlendirmenin ağırlığı tüzel kişiden arkasındaki tarafların sicil kalitesine kayar.
English Definition
The record of a borrower's past credit usage, payment pattern, and default history, regarded as one of the strongest forward-looking indicators in a credit decision. In consumer and corporate lending it is weighted heavily, since past behavior is taken as the best predictor of the future. In project finance, however, the borrower is typically a newly formed SPV with no credit history of its own; lenders fill this gap by looking to the past project performance of the sponsor and the EPC contractor, so the weight of assessment shifts from the legal entity to the track record of the parties behind it.
