Profil, tek bir orana indirgenemeyecek çok boyutlu bir risk resmidir ve kredi verenler fiyatlamayı büyük ölçüde bu resme göre yapar. Proje finansmanında bir SPV'nin kredi profili paradoksal biçimde arkasındaki sponsorun kurumsal profilinden bağımsız olabilir; sözleşmeyle sabitlenmiş gelir ve iyi yapılandırılmış rezervler sayesinde, zayıf bir sponsorun kurduğu bir proje, güçlü sözleşmesel mimarisi sayesinde sponsorun kendisinden daha yüksek bir kredi profili taşıyabilir.
English Definition
The composite picture summarizing a borrower's creditworthiness — leverage level, debt-service capacity, cash-flow stability, collateral structure, and any external rating together compose this profile. The profile is a multi-dimensional risk portrait that cannot be reduced to a single ratio, and lenders price largely against it. In project finance an SPV's credit profile can, paradoxically, be independent of the corporate profile of the sponsor behind it; thanks to contractually fixed revenue and well-structured reserves, a project set up by a weak sponsor may carry a higher credit profile than the sponsor itself, by virtue of its strong contractual architecture.
