Bir borçlunun, borcunu vadesinde ve tam olarak geri ödeme kapasitesi ile isteğine dair genel değerlendirmedir; hem geçmiş ödeme disiplinini hem gelecekteki nakit üretim kapasitesini kapsar. Kredi kalitesinin özeti olarak fiyatlamayı, teminat gereksinimini ve kredi limitini doğrudan belirler. Proje finansmanında değerlendirmenin odağı, sponsorun kurumsal kredi değerliliğinden projenin kendi nakit akışının değerliliğine kayar; nitekim güçlü bir alıcı (off-taker) ile imzalanmış uzun vadeli bir PPA, sponsorun bilançosundan bağımsız olarak projenin kredi değerliliğini yükseltir ve borçlanma maliyetini bu tek sözleşme belirleyebilir.
English Definition
A general assessment of a borrower's capacity and willingness to repay its debt in full and on time, encompassing both past payment discipline and future cash-generating capacity. As the summary of credit quality, it directly shapes pricing, collateral requirements, and credit limits. In project financing the focus shifts from the sponsor's corporate creditworthiness to the creditworthiness of the project's own cash flow; indeed, a long-term PPA signed with a strong off-taker raises the project's creditworthiness independently of the sponsor's balance sheet, and that single contract can determine the cost of borrowing.
