Proje finansmanında kritik teknoloji sınıflandırması, tedarik zinciri ve yabancı yatırım tarafında somut sonuçlar doğurur; nitekim ABD'de CFIUS incelemesi ya da menşe kuralları, kritik teknoloji içeren bir projenin ekipman tedarikini ve dolayısıyla vergi kredisi uygunluğunu kısıtlayarak finansal modelin girdi maliyetlerini doğrudan değiştirir.
English Definition
A class of technology deemed decisive for national security, economic competitiveness, or strategic autonomy, and therefore placed at the centre of export-control, investment-screening, and incentive regimes; semiconductors, advanced battery chemistries, and grid-scale energy storage are typical examples. Its scope varies with jurisdiction and the geopolitics of the period. In project financing the critical-technology classification produces concrete consequences on the supply chain and foreign-investment side; indeed, a CFIUS review or rules-of-origin test in the United States can constrain equipment procurement — and thus tax-credit eligibility — for a project incorporating critical technology, directly altering the input costs of the financial model.
