Bir hisse senedinin, ilan edilmiş temettüyü alma hakkıyla birlikte işlem gördüğü dönemi ifade eder; alıcı, senedi bu dönemde devraldığında yaklaşan dağıtımın hak sahibi olur. Temettü dahil işlem, hisse temettüsüzleştiği (ex-dividend) tarihte sona erer ve fiyat, teorik olarak dağıtılacak tutar kadar aşağı ayarlanır. Proje finansmanında holding düzeyinde hisse devirlerinde, kapanışın cum ya da ex tarihine denk gelmesi, dağıtılmamış proje nakit temettüsünün hangi tarafa gideceğini belirlediğinden alım-satım sözleşmesinde açıkça düzenlenir.
English Definition
Describes the period in which a share trades carrying the right to a declared dividend, so that a buyer acquiring it within that window is entitled to the forthcoming distribution. Cum-dividend trading ends on the ex-dividend date, at which point the price is adjusted downward by roughly the amount to be paid. In project financing, when shares change hands at the holding level, whether closing falls on the cum or ex date determines which party receives undistributed project cash dividends and is therefore addressed expressly in the sale agreement.
