English Definition
A structured meeting held after a transaction, tender, or negotiation in which the parties review the outcome, the rationale for decisions, and the lessons learned. In public procurement and competitive sale processes a debriefing is the stage at which the losing party is told how the evaluation criteria were applied, and in many jurisdictions it carries the character of a formal right. In project finance the quiet value of these sessions is that a losing bidder implicitly benchmarks its own pricing and risk assumptions against the winner's, correcting its calibration for the next process; experienced developers treat the debriefing not as the closure of a loss but as an intelligence-gathering opportunity.
