Bir projenin ya da kuruluşun, gelirini aşırı riske atmadan sürdürülebilir biçimde servis edebileceği borç düzeyidir; borçlanma kapasitesiyle yakından bağlantılı olmakla birlikte, vurgu geri ödemenin zaman içindeki sürdürülebilirliğindedir. Proje finansmanında borç taşıma kapasitesi, tek bir DSCR anlık değeriyle değil, projenin ömrü boyunca en zayıf yıla dayanan bir minimum DSCR ile ölçülür; kredi verenler, ortalama değil dip noktadaki nakit akışını esas alır. English Definition
The level of debt a project or entity can sustainably service without unduly endangering its revenue; closely tied to debt capacity, though the emphasis falls on the durability of repayment over time. In project finance debt-carrying capacity is measured not by a single snapshot DSCR but by a minimum DSCR resting on the weakest year across the project's life; lenders base themselves on the trough, not the average, of cash flow. Revenues exposed to seasonality or price volatility therefore limit the debt a project can carry through the contraction of the trough year, even where average returns are strong.
