Bir ihraççının uluslararası sermaye piyasalarında gerçekleştirdiği ilk Eurobond ihracıdır; genellikle egemen bir devletin ya da bir kurumun kendi ülkesi dışındaki para biriminde ilk kez uzun vadeli borçlanmasını ifade eder. İlk ihraç, ihraççının gelecekteki tüm ihraçları için bir fiyatlama referansı (benchmark curve) oluşturduğundan, kupon ve talep düzeyi salt o işlemin maliyetinden çok daha uzun süreli bir sinyal taşır. Bu nedenle ilk ihraçlarda çoğu zaman kademeli bir yeni ihraç primi (new-issue premium) bırakılır; ihraççı, ikincil piyasada güçlü bir performansla bir sonraki ihracın maliyetini düşürmeyi hedefler.
English Definition
An issuer's first Eurobond issue in the international capital markets, usually denoting the first time a sovereign or an institution borrows long term in a currency outside its own. Because a debut issue establishes a pricing benchmark for all the issuer's future issuance, the coupon and level of demand carry a signal far more durable than the cost of that single transaction. Debut issues therefore often leave a deliberate new-issue premium, the issuer aiming for strong secondary performance to lower the cost of its next trip to the market.
