Muhatabın poliçeyi kabul etmesi onu ödeme yükümlüsü haline getirir ve senedi iskonto edilebilir kılar. English Definition
The party in a draft or cheque ordered by the drawer to pay the stated amount — typically the importer or its bank in a commercial draft, and the drawee bank on a cheque. The drawee's acceptance makes it the party liable to pay and renders the instrument discountable. In project procurement a time draft accepted by a bank as drawee converts the contractor's receivable into bank risk, letting it be discounted cheaply; the drawee's dishonour then gives the holder a right of recourse against the drawer and prior endorsers.
