Bir finansör kuruluşun — çoğunlukla kalkınma finansmanı kurumlarının (DFI) — bir projeyi yerinde değerlendirmek üzere teknik, finansal ve çevresel-sosyal uzmanlardan oluşan bir ekibi sahaya göndermesi biçiminde yürüttüğü inceleme sürecidir. Uzaktan belge incelemesinden farklı olarak saha heyeti, izin sahalarının fiili durumunu, yerel paydaş ilişkilerini ve projenin operasyonel gerçekliğini belgeyle beyan arasındaki farkı görecek şekilde doğrular. English Definition
An appraisal conducted when a financing institution — most often a development finance institution — sends a team of technical, financial and environmental-social specialists to the site to evaluate a project in situ. Unlike a remote document review, the field mission verifies the actual state of permitted sites, local stakeholder relations and the operational reality of the project, seeing the gap between document and representation. In development bank financing the mission's findings underpin credit committee approval and the environmental-social conditions, and a discrepancy the mission identifies on the ground can become a condition precedent to closing that directly lengthens the financing timetable.
