Bir aracinin, kredi verenin veya yatirimcinin uygulama anindaki piyasa kosullarindan bagimsiz olarak belirlenmis kosullar altinda belirli miktarda sermaye saglamaya yonelik baglayici yukumlulugudur. Menkul kiymet ihracinda kesin taahhut, aracinin tum ihrac hacmini ihraccidan satin almasi ve yeniden satis riskini ustlenmesi anlamina gelir. Proje finansmaninda kredi verenlerden alinan kesin taahhutler fonlama kesinligi saglar ve finansal kapanisin saglanmasi icin on kosuldur.
English Definition
A binding obligation by an underwriter, lender, or investor to provide a specified amount of capital under agreed terms, regardless of market conditions at the time of execution. In securities issuance, a firm commitment means the underwriter purchases the entire offering from the issuer and bears the risk of resale. In project finance, firm commitments from lenders provide certainty of funding and are a prerequisite for achieving financial close.
