A price that is predetermined and not subject to adjustment or renegotiation during the term of the contract, regardless of changes in market conditions, input costs, or other variables. Fixed pricing transfers cost risk from the buyer to the seller and provides budget certainty for the purchasing party. In energy projects, fixed-price power purchase agreements and EPC contracts are critical bankability requirements that allow lenders to model predictable revenue and construction cost streams.
