Bir tahvilin yillik kupon odemesinin, vade sonundaki sermaye kazanci veya kaybi dikkate alinmaksizin mevcut piyasa fiyatina orani olarak ifade edilmesidir. Cari getiri olarak da bilinir ve gelir getirisinin basit bir olcusunu saglar. Paranin zaman degerini ve itfa degerini goz ardi ettigi icin vadeye kadar getiriye gore daha az hassas bir olcumdur.
English Definition
The annual coupon payment of a bond expressed as a percentage of its current market price, without accounting for capital gains or losses at maturity. Also known as the current yield or running yield, it provides a simple measure of income return. Flat yield is less precise than yield to maturity as it ignores the time value of money and redemption value.
