The specified interest rate level at which an interest rate floor contract becomes active, triggering payments to the floor holder when the reference rate falls below this threshold. The floor strike rate is set at the inception of the contract and remains fixed throughout its term. It represents the minimum effective borrowing or lending rate that the floor is designed to guarantee.
