Gelecekteki kirlilik, halihazırda gerçekleşmiş tarihsel kirliliğin aksine, devam eden veya planlanmış faaliyetler sonucunda gerçekleşmesi öngörülen çevresel kirlenme veya tahribatı ifade eder. Proje finansmanı ve altyapı geliştirmede gelecekteki kirlilik riski, çevresel etki değerlendirmeleri sırasında değerlendirilir ve proje tasarımına, sigorta kapsamına ve çevre mevzuatına uyuma dahil edilir. Gelecekteki kirlilik yükümlülükleri için hem muhasebe standartları hem de çevre hukuku kapsamında karşılık ayrılması gerekebilir.
English Definition
Future contamination refers to environmental pollution or degradation that is anticipated to occur as a result of ongoing or planned activities, as opposed to historical contamination that has already taken place. In project finance and infrastructure development, the risk of future contamination is assessed during environmental impact assessments and factored into project design, insurance coverage, and compliance with environmental regulations. Provisions for future contamination liabilities may be required under both accounting standards and environmental law.
