A contractual arrangement between a bank and its customer governing the terms and conditions under which giro transfer services are provided, including transaction limits, processing times, fees, liability allocations, and dispute resolution procedures. The agreement establishes the legal framework for the initiation, execution, and settlement of credit transfers within the giro system. In corporate banking, giro agreements often incorporate bulk payment facilities for payroll and supplier payment processing.
