A single regulatory authorisation that covers multiple activities, locations, or categories of operations under one consolidated licence, eliminating the need for separate permits for each individual operation or site. In customs and trade, a global permit allows the import or export of specified goods across multiple shipments within a defined period. In environmental regulation, global permits may authorise emissions or discharges across an entire facility or industrial complex, subject to aggregate limits and monitoring obligations.
