The accelerating process of worldwide economic, financial, cultural, and technological integration driven by the reduction of trade barriers, advances in communications and transportation technology, and the liberalisation of capital and labour markets. Globalisation has profoundly transformed the landscape of international finance by enabling cross-border capital flows, multinational corporate expansion, and the emergence of integrated global supply chains. While generating aggregate economic growth, it has also intensified debates about income inequality, regulatory sovereignty, and the resilience of developing economies to external shocks.
