Bir ulusun sakinlerinin mal ve hizmetlerin nerede üretildiğine bakılmaksızın özel ve kamu tüketim harcaması ile gayı safi sermaye oluşumunu kapsayan tüketim ve yatırım üzerine yaptığı toplam harcamadır. Gayı safi milli harcama, harcamayı işlemin coğrafi konumuna değil ekonomik birimin uyruğuna atfetmesiyle gayı safi yurt içi harcamadan ayrılır. Kaynakların yurt içi emilimine ilişkin bilgi sağlar ve gayı safi milli hasılayla karşılaştırıldığında ülkenin uluslararası düzeyde net tasarrufçu mu yoksa borçlu mu olduğunu gösterir.
English Definition
The total spending by a nation's residents on consumption and investment, encompassing private and public consumption expenditure plus gross capital formation, irrespective of where the goods and services were produced. Gross national expenditure differs from gross domestic expenditure by attributing spending to the nationality of the economic agent rather than the geographic location of the transaction. It provides insight into the domestic absorption of resources and, when compared to gross national product, indicates whether the country is a net saver or borrower internationally.
