Brüt kâr gelir tablosunda raporlanır ve üretim verimliliği ile fiyatlama gücünün birincil göstergesidir. Ardışık gider kategorilerinin düşülmesiyle faaliyet kârı ve net kârın türetildiği temeli oluşturur.
English Definition
The financial surplus remaining after subtracting the cost of goods sold from total net revenue, representing the profit earned from the direct production or procurement of goods and services before operating expenses are considered. Gross profit is reported on the income statement and serves as a primary indicator of production efficiency and pricing power. It forms the basis from which operating profit and net profit are derived by progressively deducting further expense categories.
