Borçlunun temerrüdü halinde kefilin borçlunun yükümlülüklerini ifa etme taahhüdü karşılığında borçlu veya yükümlü tarafından kefile yapılan dönemsel veya peşin ödemedir. Garanti ücretleri genellikle garanti edilen tutarın yüzdesi olarak hesaplanır ve temel riskin kredi riskini, garantinin vadesini ve geçerli piyasa koşullarını yansıtır. Egemen ve çok taraflı garanti şemalarında garanti ücretleri hem risk tazminatı hem de garanti kapasitesinin etkin tahsisini sağlama mekanizması olarak işlev görür.
English Definition
A periodic or upfront payment made by a borrower or obligor to a guarantor in consideration for the guarantor's commitment to honour the borrower's obligations in the event of default. Guarantee fees are typically calculated as a percentage of the guaranteed amount and reflect the credit risk of the underlying exposure, the tenor of the guarantee, and prevailing market conditions. In sovereign and multilateral guarantee schemes, guarantee fees serve both as compensation for risk and as a mechanism to ensure efficient allocation of guarantee capacity.
