Genellikle ayda yuzde 50'yi asan, yerel para biriminin satin alma gucunu asindiran ve ekonomik istikrari zayiflatan son derece hizli ve kontrolsuz bir genel fiyat duzeyindeki artistir. Hiperenflasyon tasarruflari yok eder, kaynak dagitimini bozar ve siklikla parasal sistemin cokuusune yol acar. UMS 29 uyarinca, hiperenflasyonist ekonomilerde faaliyet gosteren kuruluslarin finansal tablolari sabit bir olcum birimi cinsinden yeniden duzenlenmek zorundadir.
English Definition
An extremely rapid and uncontrolled rise in the general price level, typically exceeding 50 percent per month, that erodes the purchasing power of the domestic currency and undermines economic stability. Hyperinflation destroys savings, distorts resource allocation, and often leads to the collapse of the monetary system. Under IAS 29, financial statements of entities operating in hyperinflationary economies must be restated in terms of a constant measuring unit.
