Nominal değerden ihraç, bir menkul kıymetin itibari (nominal) değerine eşit bir fiyatla piyasaya sürülmesidir; iskonto ya da prim içermez. Bir tahvilin par'dan ihracı, kupon oranının ihraç anındaki piyasa getirisiyle örtüştüğü anlamına gelir. Proje finansmanında birincil piyasa ihraçlarının par'a yakın fiyatlanması, kupon belirleme sürecinin talep toplama (book-building) ile piyasa getirisine kilitlendiğini gösterir; par'dan belirgin sapma ise ya bir fiyatlama hatasına ya da ihraç ile satış arasındaki sürede faiz ortamının kaymasına işaret eder ve bu sapma, ihraççının efektif borçlanma maliyetini kupon oranından ayrıştırır.
English Definition
To issue at par is to bring a security to market at a price equal to its nominal (face) value, involving neither discount nor premium. A bond issued at par means its coupon rate coincides with the market yield at the moment of issue. In project finance, primary issues pricing near par indicate that the coupon-setting process has been locked to the market yield through book-building; a marked departure from par signals either a pricing error or a shift in the rate environment between issue and sale, and that departure separates the issuer's effective cost of borrowing from the coupon rate.
