English Definition
A structured process of building the knowledge and skills employees need to perform current or future duties, ranging from post-hire onboarding to advanced technical development. In the commissioning and ramp-up phase of capital-intensive projects, its weight often sits on the critical path of the investment program. When the operator roster of a complex facility is not trained in time, a technically complete asset can miss its commercial-operation date; to the extent that slippage postpones the start of debt service and the PPA revenue stream, it feeds into the project model as a direct financial cost.
