Alacaklı, senedin vadesinde borçlulardan herhangi birine bedelin tamamı için başvurabildiğinden, teminat değeri imzacıların en güçlüsünün ödeme kapasitesiyle ölçülür, grubun ortalamasıyla değil. Proje finansmanında sponsorlar, özkaynak katkısı ya da köprü finansmanı taahhüdünü bu yolla belgeleyebilir; kredi verenin gözünde asıl kıymet, en derin cebe doğrudan gidebilme imkânıdır.
English Definition
A promissory note executed by two or more makers who jointly undertake to pay the same instrument. Because the holder may, at maturity, demand the whole amount from any single maker, the note's security value is measured by the strongest signatory's capacity rather than an average of the group. In project financing it is a common device for evidencing an equity-contribution or bridge undertaking by sponsors, and its worth to a lender lies precisely in the ability to reach the deepest pocket directly.
