English Definition
The total expenses incurred in bringing a new product, service, or financial instrument to market, including marketing, legal fees, underwriting commissions, and regulatory compliance costs. In bond issuance and syndicated lending, launching costs are typically borne by the issuer or borrower and are amortised over the life of the instrument. These costs are factored into the all-in cost analysis of the financing.
